چکیده
This paper focuses on parametric model order reduction (PMOR) of guided ultrasonic wave propagation and its interaction with damage in a fiber metal laminate (FML). Structural health monitoring FML seeks to detect, localize characterize the high accuracy minimal use sensors. can be achieved by inverse problem analysis approach, which employs signal measurement data recorded embedded sensors structure. The requires us solve forward simulation underlying system several thousand times. These simulations are often exorbitantly expensive trigger need for improving their computational efficiency. A PMOR approach hinged proper orthogonal decomposition method is presented this paper. An adaptive parameter sampling technique established aid surrogate efficiently update reduced-order basis greedy fashion. numerical experiment conducted illustrate training model. results show that solution based accurately complying fidelity solution.

Fast Wave Propagation by Model Order Reduction
Large scale wave propagation simulation is currently achievable in reasonable turnaround times by using distributed computing in multiple cpu clusters. However, if one needs to perform many such simulations, as is the case in optimization, tomography, or seismic imaging, then the resources required are still prohibitive. Model order reduction of large dynamical systems has been successfully use...
متن کاملGuided Wave and Damage Detection in Composite Laminates Using Different Fiber Optic Sensors
Guided wave detection using different fiber optic sensors and their applications in damage detection for composite laminates were systematically investigated and compared in this paper. Two types of fiber optic sensors, namely fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) and Doppler effect-based fiber optic (FOD) sensors, were addressed and guided wave detection systems were constructed for both types. Guided wa...

Guided wave imaging with a sparse array of inexpensive transducers offers a fast, reliable, and cost-efficient means for damage detection and localization in plate-like structures such as aircraft and spacecraft skins. As such, this technology is a natural choice for inclusion in condition-based maintenance and integrated structural health management programs. One of the implementation challeng...
متن کاملGuided wave-based pipe damage inspection by ultrasonic fiber optic sensor
Ultrasonic fiber optic sensors (UFOS) based on Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) interferometer is proposed to detect guided waves propagating in the pipe, which is common structural component in aerospace, mechanical or civil structures. The sensitivity of UFOS depends on the long sensing distance, while winding around the circumferential direction of the pipe provides arbitrary sensing length as well as sma...

This study investigates that the sound wave propagation of multiferroic thermo elastic Nanofibers under the influence of surface effect and parametric excitation via Timoshenko form of beam equations. The equation of analytical model is obtained for Nanofiber through shear and rotation effect. The solution of the problem is reached through the coupled time harmonic equations in flexural directi...
